The test's maximum score is now 2400 points, with each section worth a possible 800. The SAT was previously graded out of 1600 points.
The Verbal Section was renamed Critical Reading. Short reading replaced the Analogies portion of the test. In addition to Geometry and Algebra I, the Math Section now includes concepts from Algebra II, while quantitative comparisons were removed. The new Writing Section consists of multiple-choice grammar questions and an essay.
