with the application of red and yellow cards and dramatization of players? some geniune and some really sucks. someone out there should tell me some of the faulty decisions made my the ref. in the Ghana - Brazil match.

You mean the BLATANTLY missed offside call which lead to a Brazil goal, and essentially, the end of Ghana as well.

The fact is: The Football referee has a split of a second to make a decision. He has some help from the 2 assistant Linemen. But we have 26 cameras and instant replay. It is unfair to say that they make huge mistakes. Football has this personal flavour. It is different from other sports that try to be perfect. As long as the mistakes are not skewed to one team the game is reasonably fair.

officials are always getting crap for being too lenient and this year there was pressure to call fair matches...but obviously all that pressure has led to some pretty terrible calls...
hell, my team (Croatia) had a player on the field with 3 yellows...now i love him and all but what the hell?! he needed to out of there...
