Why am I only able to keep one window open?

I have an HP Windows XP computer. I use Internet Explorer 6. Recently, whenever I start the browser, I am only able to have one window open. When I try to open a second one, the first one closes on me.

There are setting in your internet explorer that will allow for you to open each link in seperate windows or only in one window. Try right clicking on a link and selecting open in new window. If can't figure it out try the link below and go through troubleshooting.

The windows could be grouped on your taskbar, right click the taskbar and select properties and where is has a check box for grouping similar windows, uncheck the check box and apply and click ok.

The internet explorer windows should now be fine.
