How long does one have to wait after their conviction to get a felony expunged? What exactly does expunge mean/or do?

I believe it's not even worth trying that until after seven years. Then you you haven't had any police contact what so ever on record, then with a good attorney you could argue that the felony is keeping you from moving on getting a better job and so forth. If your attorney can prove that you have changed and the felony is holding you back then maybe a judge would listen.

you have to apply for expungment.

contact the courts and/or an attorney.
