I just started taking birth control pills one week ago; I haven't been on any b.c. for about 1 year and before that I was on depo but that never affected my breasts. Is it normal that the pills might be making them sore?

It is your hormones adjusting to the change in your body. That happened to me several times. It will stop.

I'm not a doctor, but I had a similar experience with tender breasts when using birth control pills. Ask yourself a few questions like, "Do they hurt throughout the entire month?" "How sore are they (tenderness vs. pain)?" "Is the feeling lessening or worsening as time goes on?"

Of course, you should always see the doctor that prescribed them so he or she can note your chart appropriately and make professional recommendations.

It could be the pills since you just started taking them. The only other times I know of is before and during your period and being pregnant. If it continues check with the pharmacists or Doctor. The pharmacists know the most about meds. and their side effects.

It probably is the pills. If it doesn't get better talk to your doctor about a different brand.

Yes that can be a side effect, but also caffeine can make your breasts sore, especially if you drink a lot of caffeinated stuff.
