I am studying Thermochemistry and the Hess Law in Chemistry. Can anyone tell me what the difference is in q and DH. I know that q is the heat added to or liberated from the system. But I do not know what DH is. Please can someone help!!!

I assume DH is delta H ? If so - it's the change in heat. Final minus initial.

You Mean DH as DELTA H which means change in Heat Flow, different Authors follows different notations, q is nothing but delta H, which intern explain about rate of heat transferred
