You can do this at the US Copyright Office – see the last 3 links in the source box. The application is fairly simple & the cost is $30 per application (it will likely rise to $45 by July 1).
Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

Hi dear, there is a thing called a poor mans copyright, or poor girls. What you do is take your designs etc. what u want to copyright and then you put them in an envelope, etc. take them to the post office and send and receive them to yourself. so once you put your address for send to: you have it delivered with signature confirmation. When you receive the mail back, do NOT open it. It will be dated by post office, confirmed by u, and u write what sketches, etc. are in package and then you're ready to submit designs. If u see your design used any where you go to court, show your unopened package with delivery conf. and date and bam they're busted. You show court they were your designs first. If u have the money u can spend it for a copyright and u will want to if they're "published". Also, a lot of companys will copyright your material for you upon approval, you just have to pay to have them do it, and you keep copyright and patent to the design. Some will buy the design from you, pay u, and that's the end of it. Good luck hun and may u make a mint.

If you have MS Word for word processing, click INSERT from the menu bar, select SYMBOL. You should find the © symbol.
