It is indeed noble for Bills foundation to help with world health issues; especially for the suffering children. With the war issue up front in the news, I wonder if Gates is feeling a little guilty about providing the software that is found in the warring machines of the world and is now dealing with his conscience. Just think, what would the US do without the s/w technology that is used to kill the children that he now tries to save?

Bill and Melinda Gates have been giving money to charities for a long time. They not only invest their money in charities for children, but also for schools and libraries as well. So, before you make your judgement about the Gates Foundation, do some investigating first. They are doing something worthwhile with their fortune. What are you doing with your life?

I am not seeing how Microsoft killed children. I just don't see the connection. Sorry.
However, the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation has been around since the early 1990's. They have donated computers to schools, donated funds to schools, have started medical foundations that solely run off of donations.
The plight of Africans who have AIDS is horrible! There is a belief in Africa that if a man who has AIDS has sex with a baby, he will be cured. This was on the Oprah Winfrey show a few years ago. Bill Gates has always donated to finding the cure and educating Africans about AIDS.
I don't believe Gates ever intended his creation to be used as a weapon of war. The military had been developing computers that would "Talk" to each other before Gates made it easier for everyone to use.

It's just a guess, but I don't think our weapons of mass destruction run on windows.
Otherwise, we'd have blown ourselves up already.
