I am a married man, and have been for one year. We have a baby of our own, botyh work full time, own our own car, and both have clean records.
I was ordered a DNA test a few months ago from a women i dated years ago. Come to find out, i have a 2 year old daughter that i never knew about. I have been ordered to pay child support, and have been paying it on time.
The mother of the child doesnt want me to have anything to do with the kid. She says i will never get custody because i was never there for the last 2 years, but i never knew about the kid! Now that i know, i pay child support, and wouldlike some custody, like for 6 months out of the year if possible. The mother is unwed, and is always moving from place to place. She even post half-naked pictures of her on the internet for attention from guys.
Since i just found out i had a daughter, can i still try for custody, and what things to they judge upon when choosing the time of custody?

If you can prove to a court that she is an unfit mother than the baby is yours. The court doesn't care about you or the mother. They want the best for the child, If I was you the only way to win is to play dirty. Get a private investigator he'll help you more then a lawyer will. Have him dig up some dirt and use it against her. Believe me I'm a woman that child is nothing but a pawn to her. She kept her from you probably claiming she was some one else's. That guy probably got smart you were her plan B. Find out why you didn't know of her for those two years and why all of the sudden she's asking you for child support. Oh and she can't deny you visitation, you pay child support she can't as much as take that child out of state lines without letting you know. Boy read up on your right or she'll play you like a fool. Good Luck

You can try, of course - and the fact that you haven't been around for a child you were never told about isn't going to count against you. Her instability and conduct will count against her. You do have a tough battle on your hands, and it's going to be expensive. It varies from judge to judge and from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, but generally speaking, the courts are not nearly as biased against men as they once were. Now that you know you're a father, and are paying child support, it's very likely that a court would grant you joint custody and substantial time with your child. One thing you can be sure of: The mother is the last person you should be listening to for legal advice.

contact a lawyer and also see if you can get all the evidence you can against this women.. one thing is if you can get a copy of her posing naked on the Internet.. and see what else you can find out about her.. and if you have to pay for the child's support will give you visitations rights.. you need to get a good attorney and get his advice.. but also take with you the pictures of her on the Internet and anything else you can get ahold of...you need to have a good home, good job and a good babysitter if you get custudy of the child ... a good record is great.. and i think you have a good chance i know of getting rights to see your child...also make sure they know that you did not even realize that you had a child by her....

You can try but that's no guarantee that you will succeed. You really should discuss this with a lawyer. You should at the very least be allowed visitation rights if you are paying your support on time as you say.
