If you like serious stuff, LOST. Sorry, also between seasons now. If you're looking for an hillarious cartoon series, then DRAWN TOGETHER. Very vulgar, but brilliant.

Boston Legal - definitely one worth watching. The repartee between William Shatner and James Spader is hilarious.
Medium's being shown on Living at the moment, if you're in the UK.
If you like House, you might enjoy Grey's Anatomy, although it's not quite as much of "CSI in a hospital".
And, of course, there's the new Dr. Who on Saturday nights - shame there's only two more episodes in this series. Prepare to hide behind the sofa!

Big Brother CBS starts again this week full force, can't not stop ease dropping on that house. Also 4400, and Greys Anamoty was awsome if you can find the 1st season.

I am a HUGE "House" fan also, and miss it so much! Though I keep looking every Tues. to see if I might have missed one. (usually always caught it though)
You could watch re-runs, or rent videos I guess. (there's some new mid-season replacements that might be good to check out too)

Go to the videostore and rent TV shows that have gone to DVD. I recommend the first season of LOST and the first season of Grey's Anatomy.

The 4400 is pretty good, but it is already in its 3rd season. It airs on USA, Sundays 6 pm pacific time.

ECW is good (the new series is a bit of a let down though.)

I think you should call the television network and request for the programme you want. In my country, we can request.
