I went to impeachbush.com and read their articles of impeachment, but i'll be darned if I can find any evidence to backup their claims.
Without giving me the same old sound bites, can you show me the evidence to back them up?

For the record. I do not believe Bush lied. And nobody can tell me what he supposedly lied about anyway.
Is this some sort of BashBushBandwagon?

I don't support EVERYTHING Bush does or has done, but I do support him.
I also do not believe he should be impeached.

I don't think he's done anything impeachable either. But something like 750,000 people have signed this petition so somebody does.. I just want to know why.

dvplanetwaves. I'm not sure about your answer. But i'm assuming the "facts" are that the world hates war. Well DUH!!! Nobody LIKES war. But we do realize it's occassional necessity. I guess along your line of thinking we shouldn't have done anything about England (cir 1776), French (French/American war), Spain (Spanish/American War), Mexico (Mexican/American war), Germany (WWI), Germany (WWII), Japan (WWII). I guess we should have let them have their way with us.
ACTUAL facts are what i'm looking for. Not some hippies regurgitation of what the liberal media is saying.

Reliable evidence not necessary for an impeachment: Read for the Hard Cold Truth:
The house and senate are still controlled by Republicans, which means Bush would have to commit murder during a major press conference to get the votes necessary to impeach him right now.
If the off year elections move the numbers over (not likely in both houses), then a lot of people will start putting together so called "evidence". It won't take long either - Bush admitted to violations of the Constitution re: wiretapping - definitely a violation of federal law (since the Supreme court has no jurisdiction re: impeachment ) - the violations will be determined politically in Congress - that is definitely possible / especially with low presidential public approval levels. Unfortunately our government likes to make up the truth that fits the general mood anyway, so it's very possible an impeachment proceding could occur but still not likely due to the short duration of Bush's tenure by the time this could all get rolling.
Plus it's harder to impeach a President for incompetence and or not changing his mind when he was really really wrong (How the heck do I get out of Iraq now). He'll be able to drag things out and of course he can play the Reagan - Iran/Contra card: "I don't recall that conversation" /// Make a few undersecretaries and cabinet positions squirm and resign. He's already been pretty good at that.
Treason and Bribery aren't going to happen, but the old "High Crimes and Misdemeaners" is easy - just need the congressional votes -
REAL EVIDENCE NOT REALLY NECESSARY- Congress wouldn't know evidence if it hit them square in the face - look at the debt/overspending/lobbying/campaign favors/porkbarrel legislation... You know it's sad and you know it's true.
POLITICS = many - bloodsuckers.
The truth sucks too sometimes.
Hope that helps -

There is NO reliable evidence I have found. And I have doubts any exists. I'm sure Democrats would love to find some. This is an election year. Think of all the political hay they could make IF there were reliable evidence of an impeachable offence.
While I know the Republicans wouldn't expose anything I would expect the Democrats to expose anything they found (at least to the NYT). The fact no leading Democrats are even threatening to start anything that tell me one of two things are happening. The first I've already talked about. Nothing is there.
All the Bush bashers who really believe Bush has committed numberous impeachable offences should consider this. If Bush really did commit those offences why haven't the Democrats done anything? Even if the Republicans slap down a justified impeachment proceeding the Democrats get to take the moral high ground. They could say we did what we could and those nasty Republicans wouldn't let it go further. When Russ Feingold introduced a censure motion his fellow Democrats avoided backing him like he were a leper in biblical times. When the Republicans wanted to call for a vote, Democrats blocked the vote then killed the motion with proceedural actions.
I can't imagine Ted Kennedy backing off of something he could pin on George Bush. But then I haven't seen Democrats do much of anything lately. Maybe those things do exist Bush should be impeached for and the Democrats are just choosing not to push. Is this the party that wants to take control? If they know something is impeachable and do nothing to expose it. Are they any better than those who commit the offence?

Many of us wonder the same thing. I have never been a supporter of President Bush and I do have concern about some of the things he has proposed or has initiated. However, it is a long way between such concerns and provable facts for impeachment.
Clearly many Americans who spout such negative assertions about President Bush do so because they dislike, or even hate, him. Facts apparently mean little to them.
Those from other countries who spout unfounded, and despicable statements are insignificant and should be ignored.
If there such facts arise the Congress has a role to play and they will do so, as of this point such evidence has yet to arise. Few other countries will follow such a path in ensuring that their leaders are held accountable.

No, who wants to impeach him? That's nuts. People throw words around too lightly. Like "hate". Right wingers love to say that liberals "hate" Bush. I don't hate him. He's not even worthy of my hate. He's a poor miserable excuse for a president in my view. But, I voted against him. Those that voted for him got just what you wanted. You also have the Congress and the Supreme Court. So, you have an unnecessary war going on in Iraq - that's a shamble, you got over 2500 dead soldiers, and thousands maimed, you've got 300 Billion plus deficits, you've got incompetent Federal Agencies like FEMA, you've got your huge bureaucracies like Homeland Security, government is much bigger than ever. You got everything you wanted and voted for so, "don't worry, be happy"!

There is no proof or justice to actually condemn Bush for impeachment. He hasn't done anything for anyone other than himself, Dick Cheney and Halaburton. Yet when he leaves office this country should look for leaders outside the box, can also lead us into our next phase as a great nation.

did Clinton commit any "impeachable offenses"? the whole whitewater investigation, which led to monicagate, was about $50,000. Cheney makes that much a week off his haliburton options and too bad "Kenny boy" Lay isn't still here to scoff at an amatuer who would stoop to stealing $50,000. even if he didn't "lie" (he did), the ever-changing reason for our invasion, our continued occupation and the PERMANANT BASES we are building are reason enough to doubt his honesty when he says "We must stay the course, to protect america", he really means American economic interests in the region, not the safety of the american citizenry!

He had sex with an intern in the "Oral Office....oh, wait, I'm wrong, that would be your hero Clinton. The reason you can't find any evidence is because there isn't any. All the liberals have is a hate Bush agenda and no ideas or solutions except to wait to see what Bush is going to do and scream the oposite.
I almost forgot, they have one solution ; appeasement and cut and run.

personally... I don't think he's done anything impeachable... I just think he's totally incompetent and most Bush supporters have a hard time backing up the VAST majority of his actions with logical, citable reasons...
