Yes.. and she took it whilst I was sleeping.. The judge gave her the other one in the divorce settlement.

extremely? I propose - come ON now! Is that extremely what you imagine? If a spouse is a "lacking rib", it really is in straight forward words symbolic! (You DO comprehend "symbolic" once you spot it, do not you?) ok - enable me make this so as that even a 1st grader can comprehend (uh - you're as smart as a 1st grader, are not you?) - If someone loses a body section (an arm, a leg, a kidney, a rib, etc), and then has little ones, the little ones at the instantaneous are not born lacking that body section - this is no longer genetically transferred! God took one rib from Adam's part to sort Eve! Adam's little ones did not inherit a lacking rib any more desirable than your little ones or my little ones would inherit a lacking arm if both human beings had lost an arm! Now does THAT make experience? i'm sorry if this sounds slightly facetious, yet after having replied various obtrusive mockers, i have not yet toned it down yet. Sorry if i have indignant you. yet really, the answer (with out each of the sarcasm) continues to be a similar. men are not born with a lacking rib purely because Adam lost his rib. ok?

I heard a really good answer to this once in a magazine article about how a biology professor dealt with religion in his classroom, so I'll paraphrase that as best I can...
First of all, no, women and men have the same number of ribs.
The rib was taken from Adam after he was created. Just because the rib was taken from him doesn't mean it changed the genes he would pass to his descendants.
For instance, if you have a leg amputated, your children would not be born with one leg. Because Adam had been created with the full number of ribs, his children would have inherited genes for that full number.

God obviously but it back. I believe this happened, but I'm not going into deep details right now. This saying is also used as an analagy to say that women and men go together even though a lot of us have bad intentions... hint hint. Without a woman, a man is incomplete. Also without a man a woman is just a baby back rib. [in heterosexual terms]

If a man were to lose an arm, and then got a woman pregnant, the offspring would still be born with its arm. Therefore, only Adam was the unlucky one to have a rib plucked from his chest.
Ribs, mmmmm.

No, there is no missing rib. We all need an even number to protect all of our organs!
I read somewhere (I wish I could remember where) that almost 50% of Americans believe that men have one less rib, because of Genesis in the Bible. Isn't that kind of crazy? Maybe it's not surprising to other people, but it shocked me.

No. GOD did make Eve from a rib of Adam, but HE did not change Adam's DNA. If a father loses his right arm, does it mean his son will be born wihout a right arm?

No. I've heard that too, it's misinformation passed on by people who believe the Bible but don't know much about science but still think they do. There seem to be a lot of that sort.......
