I went to Tennessee earlier this month on vacation. What a beautiful place with the friendliest people. And Nashville is a fun town. If you can't have fun there then you can't have fun. I highly recommend Tennessee.

That's what I thought too but it isn't true. There are so many northerners who have moved to Tennessee that it is unusual to hear a strong drawl. There are million dollar houses and very few cabins except those that are used as vacation houses. There are classical music stations and opera houses in all of the major cities. Yes, there is country music and Dollywood a lot of beautiful country and rivers to float down or go whitewater rafting.

Well, I live in East Tennesse. Born and raised here. I live way back in the hills, but that's the way I like it. I love my accent, and I love the laid back, country atmosphere. The towns where everybody knows everybody...that kinda stuff. There are alot of stereotypes about Tennesseeans...for example...your question. To be completely honest, i love being a redneck/hillbilly. Several people in my family plays bluegrass music. My Dad played professional bluegrass music on the road. He has all my life. I play bluegrass music (fiddle, mandolin, guitar, banjo and bass), and love it. So, i live way back in the hills, play bluegrass music, love country music, have a southern accent! I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO proud to be from the hills of East Tennessee, and i'm so proud to be a redneck woman!!!!!!!

I love Tennessee go there every year for vacation now turned it inot a family reunion this year with relatives from Florida meeting us there. We go to Pigen Forge, Seiverville and Gatlinburg. So much to do on that strip and they keep adding new stuff every year. I rent a cabin on top of the mountain so I can get the best views of the montain tops. I recommend doing Christus Gardens, Dollywood and Nascar Speedpark for a thrill and don't forget to go to Boyd's Bear and make a friend with a little one.

Tennessee is decent. I went on a greyhound bus trip by myself there when I was 18. I'll tell you, there are a lot of friendly people there, and the weather is GREAT. It never snows...Gets a bit cold, but the really nice weather starts already in late Feb or March. Great landscape, too.
