I hear so many people think badly of punks and that they are dangerous. People give weird stares and make fun of them. Punks are people too and people judge them too quickly. Some punks are the nicest people you will ever meet.

People are quick to judge anyone that doesn't fit into what they think is the proper way to look or act. Anyone that is different from themselves. You can meet some of the nicest people if you don't look at the outside.

People are very quick to judge all differnt types of weather punk, goth, prep, christian. No matter what it is there is always going to be someone to say something bad about them or look down on them. The reason for this is there is always someone that is classified in one of these groups that is an extremist, you can't tell me that every single punk in the world is nice and is out to make the world a better place. But I think to answer your question about why people dicriminate against punks we should look at the word punk itself, Webster says that the word punk means" a worthless person, or a criminal or hoodlum". In prison the word punk means"a passive male homosexual". All of these are bad in our socities eyes, and this will probably not change for some time unless an overwhelming amount of "Punks" or the likes start showing the world that they are not worthless and they are just as good as everyone else. If you care that much then you should fight for the right to be treated like everyone else, homosexuals have done it, blacks have done it and look where they stand in our society now. Homosexual, yes maybe don't have the best standing in our society but it sure is alot better then 50 years ago and thats because they got made enough to fight for their right to be treated like everyone else.

If punks wanted to blend in, they'd dress differently. If they want to make a fashion statement instead, it's reasonable that people will judge them on the message they communicate through their appearance.

Because they are not punks and they dont know what its like to be a punk, so they judge wrong. you shouldnt judge people anyway. people like that bug me.
