what are hard to find liquors that are made in america, that cant be found in india?

The absolute best alcoholic beverage to bring as a gift to Indians is a good Scotch Whiskey...They can't get good Scotch (yes it can be had on the Black market but it is expensive and a pain to get) or and good whiskey for that matter and most upper class Indians that drink like Scotch very much. Might want to ask a relative discreetly.
Indians are not really familar with the exotic liquers we see and know..So one might think a great 'tequila' or 'Brandy' might make them happy they are not familar with the taste and might not like it. Be safe take Scotch!
When in India try Kingfisher beer (kind of a pale ale). I love it. The best beer in India. Be sure to tell the boys at the hotel or restaurent to put in freezer 10 minutes before bringing it. Indians tend not to chill any drinks much.

Steven, you may say it a repetition to your another question, perhaps your sincere and heart felt attitude and hand of genuine friendship could be the most alcohlic and long lasting effective thing for a true Indian. Materially we have everything available in India and enjoy them most.
