What kind of Motor should I use for a 2000 Mitsu Motor Swap?

I have a 2000 Mitsubishi Mirage with a 1.8L SOHC. As a Honda fanatic I'm not real familiar with motor swaps for Mitsubishis and I was wondering which engine I could replace the stock motor with that would provide me with more power and power gain opportunities? I've asked many other places and they all seem can't to give me an answer. Thanks.

Go with a stroker small block ford. Of course you'll need to build a custom chasis but with 600 hp you'll put fear in the other ricers.
