1995 OLds Aurora. Only 1 side of the car has working vents in the front. The passenger side vents blow fine, and the rear vents work, but not the front drivers side. Any input / suggestions as to where to start. Can it be repaired by a regular old joe with some mechanical knowledge and no special tools, or is this a repair best left to the pros?

Check with your local library and see if they can get the Chilton manual for your car. If you look through it and see how the vents work, you may feel the job is one you can handle. If it looks too complicated, then it's off to the mechanic's shop.

Look under your dash you should see a plastic hose that runs from the heat excahger to the vent on the driver side make sure it hooked up that's probably what is wrong with it.

Just check the deflection plate under the drivers side...it might be hanging down....stick and pin the plate back up for proper air adjustment.

Good Luck
