go on birth control pills. You do not need to be sexually active to go on them. My daughter was put on them when she was 14 because she had very bad periods, her Dr put her on the pill and told her not to take the placebo so she would not have a period and she said it was great. She did not start having periods again until she was 21 and went off the pill to become pregnant.

Not really. You're pretty much stuck with what you've got. The average period lasts about 4-1/2 days, so if it's longer than a week, you may need to talk to a doctor.

If you're older (16+), you might consider going on the Pill. One of the marvelous side-effects of it is that it regulates your cycle and lightens the flow, as well as usually shortening the length of time you actually have it.

I'm sorry to say that better dont go for the birth control pills.I know that the pills can help and in fact it balance down the period. As i know, there is also some side effect from the pills. My neighbour and my friend's aunty told me that.Last time, she dont want to have baby so she took the pills for the precaution everytime she having the "relationship" with her hubby for some years. Once she is ready to have baby, she stop taking the pills. To her suprise, she can't pregnant and she went to consult the specialist. They said,it is just because the side effect from the pills that she took for years.Just imagine!!!!!

I dont really know how to shorten the period but as i heard from my friend, you can consult the Dr and it will help. You have to really ask but if the Dr ask you to take the hormone pills, ask him is there any side effect because i heard from my Dr said that sometimes it will have the side effect.Ask for the safety way to shorten the period.

If you want to know how to reduce the pain, i have some ideas.I found thsi information form the interner and i have practiced it and it work. Before you have your period, go for light exercise. Drink more water during your period. You can also have some light exercise time by time. Avoid drink the soft drink during your period, will help to reduce the period too. If you are serious in pain, try this. Go and take some hot water, put it on your stomach, the place where the pain is.Rub on it.It will really help you a lot.

Well, hope my information will help you.
