Yes, I did know that! Now, with the latest raise, they make 16 times as much as a full time minimum wage worker And considering that they take whole months off, and don't show up for votes, and go on "Fact Finding" missions to Fiji, they don't work anywhere CLOSE to 40 hours a week, either, so it's actually more than 16 times, isn't it?

The Congress has more responsibility than the average minimum wage employee. In life, the highest paying jobs are those with the greatest responsibility - doctor, lawyer, CEO, sports player (drop the football too many times and get cut!).

Also, for what it's worth, Congress doesn't have to vote on salary increases anymore - they are done automatically to reflect a cost of living. A cost of living is different than a true raise/merit increase, which would be more than just the cost of living.

regrettably, it is your man or woman fault. The MPs are representatives of YOU, and because there are this way of super kind of of you (individuals), they only can't symbolize all of you on an identical time, and could not take an activity to easily every physique. the wonderful thank you to alter your minimum salary is to connect tension communities, so as that this is going to become clean that the persons needs a metamorphosis to the minimum salary. which could have a much better hazard of having what you go with than merely complaining at elections.
