LOL I'm not planning on performing any amputation, I'm doing a presentation and I can't seem to find the specific details on how to do it through internet searches.
You're all so silly ;oP, although I wouldn't put it past some people to want to try to do that at home...

1st step would be having an appendage that actually requires amputation. 2nd would be to consult with a surgeon and let them do it :)

If you are going to use it to cut off someone's appendages, I would suggest the following...
1) Do Not attempt to reattach the limb after operation, in fact, Don't operate at all. That's just ILLEGAL.
2) If the limb is in serious need of amputation, consult a licensed physician. They won't let you keep it, though.
3) If you are debating cutting off someone else's limbs, and need instruction, I would not suggest using Yahoo! Answers as a reliable source of instruction. Have you tried research?
4) If, on the other hand, you are going in to get a limb operated on, which is most likely the case, or, at least, I hope so, I would again suggest research.

well first you would cut through the tissue then saw through tthe bone then take the remaining flap of skin and sew it over the wound creating a stump.
