Yes it is. Many women have a LOT of relief from painful/heavy periods just by taking birth control.

It is DEFINATELY normal. Birth control makes your periods so light it's amazing. They should also last only 4-5 days. Don't be surprised if you get more intense breast tenderness and cramps. I am on Tri-Cyclen as well, and I had intense cramps and painful breasts for the first 6 months or so, it goes away once your body is used to all of the new hormones you're pumping into it. It definately has a large adjustment time. If you're ever worried about symptoms you are getting, just see your doctor. They're there to help you out and make you feel better.

It is perfectly normal for your period to be much lighter on this birth control pill. It's actually one of the things that Ortho Try Cyclen promotes about it. Lighter periods that probably won't last as long as normal.

Yes, it's normal, the same thing happened to me when I started taking it. It should remain that way for the rest of the time you are taking the OTC Lo. Make sure you always take it at the same time every day because you get break through bleeding ( bleeding between periods) easily with this brand. Probably because there is such a low dose of hormone, which is a good thing for your body.

yes it is very normal because what a birth control pill does is make your body think that it have already gone through the cycle which means it think that the egg has already been washed out. This makes it so that your body does not feel it needs a lot of blood to clean out the uterus.

That is the miracle of the pill. Your periods will be very light and you will be able to track them to within an hour of their beginning. No more surprises.

Yes it is perfectly normal, I just asked this question to my OBGYN not even a week ago and she said that it may even become as short as three days with barely any bleeding.
