Fedex stopped requiring signatures , so they drop off and run w/o knocking. How many of you have had a package never show up as a result of this? Do you think the driver's are keeping the packages now?

and when you file a claim, as i have, they don't honor them as the drivers claim it must've been stolen after it was delivered.

call the place you ordered it from and say it was never delivered.without a signature to show delivery the shipper must resend you the goods.
as an example ups left my gateway computer, monitor and all on the front porch in plain view, while i sat in the living room.they never even tried to see if anyone was home.i called gateway and reported it.they said a signature was required, that if the deliver person did not get a signature is was the delivery company's fault and since no signature was every taken, gateway would get an insurance claim to cover any theft.
further,i had ups drop a package off at a neighbors once, who left for vacation without telling me about the package.the company sent me another and when my neighbor returned i got the original.
but no,the drivers most likely don't take the package,or else they'd never bring them to begin with.neighborhood thieves end up with them.

They have those deliverymen on such a tight schedule. I see them running thru the apartment complex, out of breath, to make their quotas. My mother has had medicines stolen because the deliveryman just dropped it and ran. You would think they would have a more secure protocol for prescription drugs.

And, it's not just FedEx. it's all of them.

I think that you must actually receive and acknowledge receipt, otherwise the carrier is liable to replace it if it is stolen. Just call the shipper and tell them that you didn't ever receive it.

I don't think the drivers are keeping merchandise. There is a criminal element that follows deliverymen around and collect merchandise they can sell.

Umm...it's not fedex....it's whoever is sending you the package. I work for a business and we recieve packages everyday from FedEx, UPS, and DHL and we have to sign for all of them. There's a place on all the shipping forms to check to have someone sign for a delivery.

Yup, me too. You've gotta report it and they'll track it.
