I think so but it would take him longer ... if you show up at a trial then he probably can't do it without a signature (if you make it known that you dispute it).

YES it can happen without your signature. My ex did not sign anything or even come to our divorce hearing. The judge gave me everything I asked for house, children, cars and all. Get A LAWYER!!!!

It depends on how much money he is willing to pay. He could act like he doesn't know where you are and have it listed in the paper. If you dont respond he will be granted the divorce. In Pa. if you live apart for 2 yrs. you dont have to have the spouses signature.

Yes he can get his divorce without you but if there is anything you may want to keep out of the relationship like kids, furniture, house car and etc. then you have to fight for it. I would suggest talk to a lawyer and see what it will only cost you that fee unless you go to court with lawyer.

As far as I know this is how it works everywhere -you have 30 days after you recieve the papers to sign, if you do not sign and do not show up in court to contest it then the divorce will go through, the way he has it stated in the documents.

You have to be served and if you choose not to respond, then they are able to proceed with whatever they have drawn up in the divorce papers. DO NOT ignore papers served to you...if you do not agree what has been stated or requested in the papers, then you need to obtain an attorney to request what you want. If neither of you are able to come to an agreement thru your attorneys, then the judge will decide.....much better the two of you decide as a judge knows neither one of you on a personal basis. Good Luck & Stand up for yourself!!!

well i got my divorce without my husband signing, divorce is so much easier now than what it was...but the judge will not grant it, unless he has it on record that divorce papers were served to you by an official. but you do want to go to court to make sure that he is not trying to get u for something that you dont want to be gotten.

I don't know for sure if it can go through if you don't sign. My ex didn't want the divorce, the judge told him he could fight it, but in the end if that is what I want it will go through.
Hope this helped a little. good luck!

Yes it can. If you do not sign the papers or show up on the hearing day his attorney will submit a Default judgment of divorce, basically he will be granted everything he wants.
check you state laws most of them are online, look under probate/family law

I think he needs your signature. It doesn't make sense otherwise. I would advise getting a lawyer. It's something I didn't do and my ex took advantage big time. Good Luck!
