I've heard that they don't like chalk, vinegar, or marigolds. They hate Windex. I found a lot of suggestions at the website below. Hope it helps.

Garlic, Onions, and hot pepper plants will all do that. However, if you are trying to get them out of your house it is best to use a chemical treatment.

Put salt around the area outside where they are getting in. It worked for me.

ive always heard a half vinegar half water mix will do the job great, but the vinegar might smell though.
