No it's not bad to sleep on your right. If you're in your third trimester - over 6 months along - your doctor may have told you to sleep on your left side. This is because this takes more of the weight of the uterus off the blood vessels that supply the lower portion of your body, and can help keep your blood pressure lower. Right side is second best, doesn't keep as much of the weight off, but either side is better than your back. Seriously try not to sleep or rest for long periods of time on your back those last couple months. Better for you and better for baby.

You can sleep however you are comfortable my Midwife told me that it was O.K. that I slept on the right side since I was not sleeping good on the left.I know they say that the good blood flow is when you sleep on the left but it was nights when I was up just tossing and turning because I couldn't sleep. And my Midwife said are you crazy don't be silly you can sleep on the other side you have to get sleep even if you are standing up against the wall.

You should force yourself to get used to it. When you sleep on the right side you are cutting off some of the blood that your baby needs while developing. I don't know how far along you are but soon enough you will be tossing and turning on both sides.

Your heart isn't on your left side--it is in the middle of your chest!!

The left is best for circulation but if you are sleeping better on your right, go for it. You will be a zombie from lack of sleep after the baby is born so get as much rest as you can now and enjoy the attention!

Good luck!

There is no danger to sleeping on your right side as opposed to your left. The reason why left side is so often recommended is that in that position your kidneys and circulation work more efficiently, it is not because the right side is dangerous. If you can sleep on your stomach that is fine too---the baby is well-cushioned. I used to half lay on my stomach and half on my side with a pillow supporting my belly. Until I was in my last trimester of course, when I slept in any position I could stay comfortable in!

No. But the most uncomfortable way of a woman sleeping when they are pregnant is on their back. So I guess it's healthy to sleep on ur right side

no there's nothing wrong with that. it's not a myth - the blood flow to the fetus is much better on the left side. so you should try to sleep on your left, but if you can't. you need to be comfortable too. you shouldn't sleep on your back either because of the artery that runs along the spine, but that's really not until the baby gets bigger. the doctors say you shouldn't sleep on your belly either, but sometimes i just couldn't help it .---I'm a belly sleeper.

Sleeping on your right side is better for you than sleeping on your left, because your heart is on your left side. If you're pregnant, it's also very good for you to sleep with something in between your legs. It aligns your spine.

"kids and cats" is right on. While I was pregnant, I was more comfortable on my right side also. So I tried to lay on my left side if I was relaxing or watching tv...but while I slept, I laid on my right side. The most important thing is to not sleep on your back.
