The age they are truly mature enough to handle it, & when they are taught proper application, which means make-up is to accentuate natural beauty & bring it out, not to make a new face.

Any age that she starts showing interest in wearing makeup. Moderation is key. If she’s under 8, I suggest clear lip gloss, and translucent powder. That way, she gets the experience of wearing makeup, without looking too “grown up.”

At the age of 10, tinted lip gloss and uncolored eye shimmer will do the trick, and around 13-14 she can start experimenting with full fledged looks, if she’s so inclined. More than likely, she’ll find that the subtle looks are more attractive. At any rate, when a girl starts to wear makeup, it’s important to teach her good habits, like how to properly cleanse her skin at night, and when to toss out old products.

I think you should talk to your parents about it. I know that sounds really weird, but think about it....they might have good reasons for holding back. But if it was my decision start wearing mascara, eyeshadow, and lipgloss at age 12, eyeliner around age 15, and anything else afterwards doesn't really matter. Make-up should be used once you're comfortable with the 'real-you', the person you are without makeup on!

I would say some simple make up at age 8 to 10 then allow her to get more involved in it at age 12 to 14.
