It is ironic that i am answering you question. but why "too much" and not "so much"? the "too much" express your negative feelings. is it perhaps because you don't want to live HIM but you do?
Now you found yourself, no matter what loving him. there are many not very nice issues in between, but there is this magical feeling still exist that gives special meaning between you and him.
is it wrong to have a feeling that gives you nice time, reminds you of good moments in past.

I dont think you can love too much. But you can become obsessive or controlling. I am going through the same thing right now with a woman that has terrible self esteem problems. I show more love to her and she cant understand why. Thus in turn makes me try harder to show her and so on and so on.

Yes, i think you can love someone too much. I think I love my exboyfriend very much and I think it's too much that I have done some crazy and immature things. Yes, it can make you do things that you would have never thought of doing. But I think that loving someone too much can push them away from you especially with how guys are.

It is never wrong to love someone to much.,but it does draw aclose line between love ans stalking .Make sure your not to pushy.
