Hey Sam, I have had crohn's for 15 + yrs. I know how you feel. Those who have never had this disease will not. I have tried probiotics, aloe vera juice, fish oil, jordan rubins program, you name it its been through my system (not always pleasantly). I am currently on Remicade and have been for over a year. It has put me into remission. I also believe it is an auto immune disease whether caused by man or environment I'm not sure. I have had many days where I feel like crap & often have deep thoughts of this disease. I do know hereditary is a factor as I can prove by most of my relation having ms, ra, lupus & crohn's. Do you have a good dr? If not find one even one who specializes in homeopathy can help. I wish you luck in finding a miracle we all are looking for!

I'm sorry, but I don't think there will be a complete cure for chrohn's for a very long time. My brother was diagnosed when he was 9, my parents divorce literally, is to blame. He is 34 years old now and in and out of the hospital, all the time. He does however have much stress in his life, a b*tch for a wife, mainly!!! They fight, he gets worked up , and boom, in the hospital again. It's all stressed related, if you think about it. Doesn't it bother you more during stressful times in your life? I hope you feel better, and keep stress at a minimum, ask your doctor for some nerve pills, that may help.............

Hey supersam! There is a rapidly growing body of medical research that suggests probiotics and omega-3 fatty acids (fish oils) can have a positive effect on inflammatory bowel diseases like Crohn's.
You sound like someone capable of reading the science on these issues. So, if you go to Pubmed (enter 'entrez pubmed' in your search engine) you can search the world wide medical literature on these therapies.
Best wishes and good luck.

My mom has Crohn's as well....since she was a kid (so at least 45 years now). She eats natural foods, few processed foods. Little soda, lots of water. Tons of vitamins, herbs, etc. She also take fiber to help cleanse her body.
Now the only thing that really gets her is when she gets too stressed. So try to adjust your diet and relax. I hope you are able to get better. I wasn't aware it was something that can be cured.
Take care!

I am sorry you have this debilitating disease. Perhaps you can call the national association (every illness seems to have an association affiliated with it). Ask if they have any support groups in your area that meet regularly. You would benefit by sharing ideas and experiences with this disease with others who know what you are going through. Not sure there is a secret wonder. Good luck.

I don't know if you have ever heard of "George the Animal Steel"...he suffered from Crohn's and tells his story of how he overcame it and is now feeling 100%.
This is what he used.....

Crazy but yes, i knew two ppl with that desease, oddly enough .....
aloe vera juice (thats the concentrate, without any additives) befor you eat and drank with water, worked wonders apparently for both guys, but they still continued with their medication, although eventually they both went into remission. Oh yeah and one other thing, no microwaved foods, I dont exactly know why either!

Check out Kevin Trudeau's book....... Natural Cures "they" don't want you to know about. Don't listen to what you hear on the news about him. Just check out the book. You must read it from cover to cover.... no skipping around. This man is really on to something! I'm not joking!

reiki therapy
it balances the body to help the body heal itself
I know of people who have had debilitating diseases and who have worked with such energy healing modalities as reiki and have been in remission or as "cured" as humanly possible for ten or fifteen years.
