I think "the girl" should stop caring about what other people think. It just makes her waste time on something that`s not important. What`s important is that she has real friends to care about her personality and not what she looks like.
But just in case she is very self concious, maybe she should start drinking lots of water instead of other drinks and vegetables instead of sugar or meat. Don`t worry because i know that everything will be just fine. Good luck best wishes! Just remember that she is only 10 years old and she has lots of time to improve.

You too are bringing attention to her...no wonder the poor someone is getting weirded out.
Its awful when people make reference to someone who is different...I am tall like Princess Dianna and Nicole Kidman...and still have a complex about my height, because of people like you who made me feel weird, instead of elegant...
Leave her alone, or just be her friend and accept her for what she is......you are not being kind by making an isse of it...

She should be taught to not listen to anyone. I'm skinny and wish I could gain the pounds so people call me a crack head. I just ignore them. Her parents should help her with a better diet and counselling. good luck to Her.

kids are mean as hell. period. she can either put forth the effort to lose weight with the help of her parents and family or learn to develop ways to ignore the things people say to her. easier said than done but she's young. shell be alright as long as she has the love and support of people close to her.
