I was just wondering if racism is illegal or legal. I know hate crimes are illegall, but I don't know of racism itself is. Any websites refrencing this would be helpful.

The belief in racism is not illegal as this would violate the constitution. However, many racist acts are illegal.

so yes racism is legal as long as one does not violate anyones rights with thier beleifs.

Yes, it is legal to be a racist, and practice racism. The courts and police will protect the racist's right to openly display their foolishness UNLESS they violate someone else's civil right to be spared the impact of this type of narrow-minded thinking.

"Racism" per se, is not illegal. But discrimination is illegal, unless you're discriminating against a white man. That you can do. Oh, and you can discriminate against Christians, too.

There is no law against racism itself, unfortunately. It just persists like a festering sore. There are laws, however, that prohibit discrimination based on race.
