They go for a run.
Or tell a good pun.
Or lay in the sun.
Or chew on a bun.
They wouldn't shoot a gun.

Ok, I'm done.

What does anyone do for "fun"? Most of the time the next day they can't remember it and if it was, actually, fun then the ticket was costly.

I don't imagine nuns are prisoners so they do most of the things we all do for real fun. They go to parks, the beach, travel, read, sports, cook, socialize.

Most nuns live lives very similar to many of us, but they do not have the sexual option.

I have long wished the churches would change in that regard for nuns and priests but they have not.

I believe nuns and priests could actually better serve their spiritual duties if they could also live their own individual lives as well

Many of the same things "regular people"do, like play music (only different music, religious), play musical instruments, they tend to pray a few times a day, they cook, have pets, visit their family and friends, devote time to their ministries, you name it. There are different religious orders and the rules are different. So nuns live in a closed community and do not do anything "outside," some have vows of silence, most have vows of poverty, so nuns are very good at not wasting things and making due with what is at hand. They don't seem to complain much about material things. Some peole have commented that Muslims are more religious than Christians because they live their faith. When you hear that, remember than nuns live their faith and are similarly devote.

nuns have a source of enjoyment, amusement, or pleasure.
Enjoyment; amusement: have fun at the beach.
Playful, often noisy, activity.
To behave playfully; joke.Enjoyable; amusingAs a joke; playfully. The use of fun as an attributive adjective, as in a fun time, a fun place, probably originated in a playful reanalysis of the use of the word in sentences such as It is fun to ski, where fun has the syntactic function of adjectives such as amusing or enjoyable. The usage became popular in the 1950s and 1960s, though there is some evidence to suggest that it has 19th-century antecedents, but it can still raise eyebrows among traditionalists. The day may come when this usage is entirely unremarkable, but writers may want to avoid it in more formal contexts.adj : providing enjoyment; pleasantly entertaining; "an amusing speaker"; "a diverting story"; "a fun thing to do" [syn: amusing, amusive, diverting, fun(a)] n 1: activities that are enjoyable or amusing; "I do it for the fun of it"; "he is fun to have around" [syn: merriment, playfulness] 2: verbal wit (often at another's expense but not to be taken seriously); "he became a figure of fun" [syn: play, sport] 3: violent and excited activity; "she asked for money and then the fun began"; "they began to fight like fun" 4: a disposition to find (or make) causes for amusement; "her playfulness surprised me"; "he was fun to be with"

Their only purpose is to serve Christ and anything after that is irrevelant. But I do think they still have fun with everyday chores and keeping busy with the community.
