go to www.salary.com and pick any job....then go to paycheck estimator and put in california and it will show you how much is taken out ...you can even put in what you claim on taxes :)

I'm sure Virgnia didn't take 25% out of your pay. You are asking "what is the total amount of taxes - including federal, state and local - that is stolen by the government each month?"

A lot!!!! It's probably around that much, If one makes 70,000.00 annually and takes home 57,000.00 that's about 20%?
