I like this boy, i called him earlier and told him i liked him, but when he asked for my name he didn't hear it right, and he did not know who it was!, but he said he didn't like me..... then he called like 5 minutes ago and asked for someone named cody?....What could've happened?

i have two scenarios in my mind.
1. a huge miscommunication.
2. he knew who it was and wanted to avoid having to deal with it by saying he didn't.
.. iono about the cody thing though. maybe tried to call him after using a recent phone call list in his cell? and accidentally used called your number? hmm.
i'm sorry. this is why these kinds of things should be said in person. i learned this the hard way too.

I would call him back if you think there's a good chance that he may in fact like you. He obviously didn't hear you right, like you said. But, on the other hand if you don't think you have a shot, no worries. He won't be able to tell people that it was you who called because he doesn't have the right name. lol. It's funny to think about though - because say you two do end up dating, he could call you "Cody" - wouldn't that be a story to tell people!! Too funny.

Clearly he thinks youre Cody and he does not like Cody, which is good news for you because, that means he likes someone else which could be you. So I'd just let it go for a few days, and then find some other way to tell him you like him, like a cute note or sth. if you tell him too soon he might figure out that youre the one who told him the other day and he might think youre wierd . if he finds out sometime in the future, it;'ll be sth silly you can laugh over.
soooo...give it time then try again...

Do you think he may have heard your name as Cody? Or maybe he is just playing an immature game with you. Meaning, he does like you, so he calls you back but doesn't have the gonads to actually ask for and speak to you.

1. He might have thought that you said cody.2. or mabey he has the wrong number. Does he have caller id?if he does, he probably thought you said cody instead of your name. Does he have a friend named cody? if he does, he might think that you are cody ( his friend ) and he probably wouldn't like ( like love )

He has an Caller ID and as he didn't catch your name well, he called to find out if Cody (the name he heard) lived there.

He might have thought that your name was Cody or maybe he does like you and just had an excuse asking for somebody else.Hope that helps!

I'm confused. Who's Cody? Was it his friend? was he calling someone to ask about you? Who are you? And why did you tell him that you liked him if he didn't even know who you were. I'll give extra effort if you give extra info.

Who knows? If he was on a cell phone (or you were) it could have cut out. Or he was distracted (siblings, parents, TV, computer, music, video games, etc.) That's happened to me before... or he could have put your name next to cody's number or cody's name with your number (or both)

Caller ID is the way he got your number. It probably confused him, as boys tend to not get subtlties for some reason as easy as you ladies do. Once upon a time long long ago people used to send card to eachother. I would try that as he would then know for sure who you were.
