could some go to jail if had their sytem modifed??

No, there is nothing illegal about simply modifying a game system. There are many reasons to do this, mainly being able to play games that aren't from your reigon (eg playing games from Japan on a system in America). Though another benefit of modding your system is to play pirated games on your system. The problem here is that pirating software is illegal, so if you were caught pirating games, you would get in trouble. Simply modifying the system however is not illegal. Though you will void the manufactuers' warranty by opening up the system yourself.
