Fullmetal Alchemist HAS to be THE BEST manga. AND anime. EVERRRR.
but BESIDES FMA, my favorite anime/mangas: Ranma 1/2 (that was my first), and Loveless.
Oh yeah, and my favorite guy(s)? Ed (of course) Alphonse (they look practically the same!) ROYYROYROYROY!!! and... RITSUKA, from Loveless. Kinda hopeless, though. Ritsuka's gay. He belongs to no one but Shoubi. Not even me. (cries)

I love Inuyasha. Both the show and the character. I also like Full Metal Panic!, Slayers, Ray Earth, Fruits Basket, Azu Manga Dioh, and some other random stuff.

I love both anime and manga, but usually, the anime version is better because the drawing are much cutier and the music just adds more effects. I have lots of favorite animes/mangas as well as characters so it'd take me a day to name them all :p

I love anime and manga. I like manga like the other is the drawing is nice and i love the story.
My fav manga for now is Mahou Sensei Negima, Ah! Megami Sama (Ah! My Goddes), Fruits Basket, Naruto and Bleach.
My fav anime : Fate/Stay Night, Mai-Otome, Bleach, Tokko, I''s Pure, etc ( i can't remember all)
My fav character : Miyazaki Nodoka (Mahou Sensei Negima), Hinata (Naruto), Saber [Arturia] (Fate/Stay Night)

I love anime cuz it's so exciting! They have so many genres! hehe! I love honorifics! My fave anime/manga guy is Yuki-kun!!!!! (from Fruits Basket) why? cuz he's a prince charming! So perfect!!! Plus he's rich and HOT!!!!! also he is so strong!!!!!!!!! You should read and watch Fruits Basket!!! Watch Full Metal Panic also! I love Full Metal Panic! Then you can watch the second season! Full Metal Panic the second raid! You should also read Hana Kimi and read/watch Tsubasa!

My favorite magna is Absolute boyfriend and my favorite anime is ~Inuyasha~ (My horrible addiction!) My favorite character would be Sesshoumaru and Night (They are both very cute!)

Although anime is the japanese word for any animation, I assume you mean japanese style animation specifically.
I love anime because the drawings are very cute and lively. Recent non-anime cartoons tend to be badly drawn on purpose just to be different.
