1. Beckham's goal had a lot of luck to it.
2. Every one can bend the ball, Beckham just has more money to make a movie and get famous off of it.
3. Beckham is overrated. Good, but way overrated.

Beckham shoots the ball outside most of the time...he was just lucky that day against Ecuador....i think Gheorge Hagi of Romania and Hristo Stoitchkov of Bulgaria could do a much better job than Beckham

Beckham is paid for what he does best and is score at very hard and long angles...Yes England won 3 Games and drew one...that is why they are in the 1/4 Finals...and that is why they will win Portugal along with all the other great players of England....

Only Beckham can bend the ball is just some stupid massive hype generated by the English media. Of course he can bend the ball, but so can Zidane and Ronaldinho too.

LOL, i have no idea, beckham is ****, i am sick to death of sven picking him, i have not seen david beckham actually PLAY in an england game since the 2002 world cup qualifier against greece. people dont seem to notice he does nothing at all for the team, in his favour though he can send in a good cross, plus his free kick won ecuador match for us, but i definetly agree though, aaron lennon should be played on the right, well actually shaun wright phillips should be but since sven is an idiot shaun didnt get picked. lol sven is a ****, he didnt take jermain defoe but took walcott, a kid who never played a premiership match i hate sven, its not beckhams fault he is shite is svens fault for picking him. its all good though coz steve mclaren has the job after the world cup. thank you FA they have just doomed english chances at euro 2008 too, the best free kick taker in the world is juninho pernambuca( i think it is spelled like that) a brazilion lyon player, him or scunthorpe uniteds clevlend taylor, iron iron, were going to the championship next season, scunny till i die oh scunny till i die, sorry got a bit carried away

compared to the calibre of today's footballers, beckham's skill is nowhere next to the top footballers.
he is EXTRMELY overrated
i still feel his kicks have a lot to do with luck, otherwise pretty bad.
if he stays in england's squad, they will surely not reach the finals.

Sobito pretty much summed it up. I personally dislike the guy. His free shots might be good, but other than that, he's pretty much useless. All he really cares about nowdays is how "hot" he is, his salary, and his fame.
