I am neither white or black. The problem I have is when I see black people have an all black pageant, all black organization, an all black emmy award, all black scholarship, or all black anything - I think this is racist. Especially if today's culture is more modernize and the norm today is having a melting pot of all people and skin color. If I was a poor white student, I would be upset that there is no scholarship or organization to help poor white kids. Maybe the skinheads or KKK were right. This world will be taken over by minorities. Look at the hispanics, they will be the majority in 15 years. I think we should ban African American clubs/organizations. It's not right! My race is the islander. Someone help us understand this black and white issue.

I can understand 25 years ago, but not today. Everyone has the same opportunity. We should make it available for everyone. ex. have a scholarship for people who deserves (doesn't matter what color).

Thank you.

That is NOT racist by the way...but the reason there are black organizations is because blacks are a minority...And the reason why it seems that now (as compared to years ago) opportunities for minorities are greater is because these organizations and scholarships have helped promote the minority race. Yes they were supressed not too many years ago. 60's 70's and even the 80's...education is important to everyone. You could say the same about women as a minority. Women now are starting to earn equal to or more than men -when just 40 to 50 years ago staying at home was the norm for women (not working at all) Think about how women and minorities were not even allowed to vote in the past century.
So it took these organizations formed by minorities to bring the opportunities to light. You should not be offended by them and they should not stop their causes. There are opportunities for poor white students as well. You just need to find the right scholarship or job opportunity. Don't make your race or another's race part of the picture. We are all the same no matter what color our skin is or what we have under our zipper (M or F) unless of course you are born with a silver spoon in your mouth. Most of todays millionaires did not inherit their money but earned it by taking a chance and investing in themselves. We are all struggling out there to stay ahead of our bills and have a better quality of life.

I think what you are feeling is the term called "reverse discrimination" Many think that by promoting females and other minorities be they African Americans or hispanics we have now created a situtation where the white male is the last to be considered for a scholarship or position/ job. This really is not the case.

I completely agree with you! Decades ago they were trying to get white people and black people to get equal rights, participate in stuff together, go to the same places w/o discrimination, etc. But now that law is passed, black people are doing all that stuff all black (as you said)! And if a white person tries to speak up about it, they get put down, or called racist. Me myself, I am definitly NOT racist, 3 of my BEST friends are black. Overall, I understand what point you are trying to get across, and I agree with you all the way.
Good job standing up for this and not sounding racist! : )
(that may have sounded sarcastic but it wasnt i swear lol)

I would say yes except being white that would probably make me racist. I've noticed that black people can get away with being racist, but white people can't generally.

I think it's up to the mixed raced to sort this one out now :)

It is exclusionary but not racist. I think it is just a matter of spending time with people who can identify with you but I'm white so I don't know for certain. Your suggestion of banning minority clubs however, is racist. Don't be such a hater.

i totally agree with you and i dont think thats racist because your fighting for equal rights for everyone, including yourself. i think that there shouldnt be like affirmative action or giving more points to minorities in standardized tests, its really not fair to minorities because its just making them feel more like minorities. why dont we just ban all this junk.
