Having done most of the cleaning in my home I personaly would think he feels most comfortable sitting on the flip side, carpet in bathrooms are a mess and the toilet seat. You would be surprised how considerate some men can be. He may not like to be splashed on his clothes or his legs(wearing shorts). It's an ucky feeling, most guys not give a hoot.

A lot of these answers show that people suck. If they don't understand something, they pass it off as something not as good as them, or as good as what they think is normal.
I broke my hip eight years ago, and I try to stand up usually, but sometimes my hip hurts way too much. I have to sit to let my hip rest. What's wrong with that? Why the hell would anyone with a normal hip feel like they are better? I've had to work so hard to learn to stand up and walk again, I don't think it makes me any less of a man that I have to rest my hip sometimes.

On a more personal thought and experience, I think that it's just his preference. It doesn't mean that he's gurly or anything of that nature. It shouldn't a worry to you or anyone though.Hey so long as the guy's being clean about it be thankful. And another thing when a person goes to the restroom in the privacy of their home. That's exactly what it should be PRIVATE not for the world to know. And for you stupid senseless narrowminded *** men please take a look in the mirror and get a full grasp on life.KNOCK KNOCK IS ANYONE HOME. Not every man in america a homosexual or wants to be one just because they do things differently from yall's asses.

An old friend of mine (female) used to try to convince all men she met that they should pee sitting down. Unfortunately I forgot her logic but apparently it was supposed to be healthier for the men. (Not to mention less mess to clean lol).

I think it had something to do with completely emtying the bladder.... but as I'm a woman, I didn't pay too much attention to my friend....

I don't see anything abnormal about sitting down to pee if you want to

Usually if a guy sits down to pee, it is because he has an errection. It is hard to aim when you have that going on....sitting down makes sure you get it in the toilet....hey I am just being honest here...

It's perfectly normal for a male to stand and urinate. In truth, it is more hygenic to sit down. As to whether he is being considerate: I suppose he is. It is good practice as a guy to sit down when you are using other people's lavatories.

Welcome to my weird world. My husband sits to pee and I have an ex-boyfriend who does the same. Both were potty trained by mom and had no male role model in their life to teach them otherwise. By the time they were old enough to know this was not normal it was too late to change so to speak. It was natural to them.

Either

a) Doesn't want to make a mess (bad aim)

b) Gets nervous about people hearing the "waterfall" while he pees

c) Might have to do #1 and #2 all in the same session.
