I was out shopping and this little boy wanted to hold his moms hand, I heard her say, you are too old for that. As far as I am concerned, you are never too old to hold your childs hand. What do you think?

When a kid reaches a certain age like say around 10-12 they want to be independent and think that they dont need any help in what they do. Now if they want you to hold their hand its a diffrent story i agree with you sayin that a kid is never to old to hold their parents hand..it just is decided on whether or not the kid wants to.

Holding hands has nothing to do with age, only love. My daughter doesn't let me hold her hand anymore, only when the mall or store is just about empty. One of her other 13 year old demographic might think she was a baby. I think she'll let me hold it again after age 17. What a mean Mommie you saw!

That's awful. If a child is reaching out to a parent, even just hand holding, they should be answered. I don't think there is an age limit on simple affection.

It depends on the child. It is the childs choice. But I too agree with you. You should never be to old to hold your parents' hand. It shows you love them and cherish them.

11 years old. But if he wanted to, then what's the problem, you know? Usually it's the kid who is embarrassed to hold the parent's hand, not the other way around.

i personally think there is no limit,
but ill be honest with you..
the other day i saw a man with his daughter and i think mayube it was the gender (mother with son) that threw me off,. but i double looked becuiase she looked like she was about 10 ... so it just looked a little funny. But nothing major.. i personally will HOLD my daughters hand forever if i could.. but that did make me realize that it may not be the age of the child, but the gender of the parent...
