Maybe we should seek the answere in the principle of equal treatment to equal crimes in equal circumstances. Are the catholice priests the only people raping children? Are catholic priests more or less visible because of their ministry? Is it easier for us to blame those we don`t like for the crimes mankind commits? Should every institution tainted with this crime be dissolved or should the individuals responsible for the crimes and the cover up be prosecuted? Do we want government doing this or that like it is done in some totalitarian state without the benefit of a trial?

If you talked about Jews or African-Americans the way you talk about Catholics, you would be branded a bigot. I am a life long Catholic and I won't pretend that I don't have issues with the church from time to time. The majority of priests, however, are true men of God who follow his calling and serve with distinction and grace. The issue of pedophilia is being dealt with. Does it make you feel good to spew your uninformed hateful garbage? What a prick!

reminds me of that southpark episode where the outlaw of kiddie but love is outrageous. why are they not taxed? seperation of church & state right? why is the state siding with the church? the religious are the most dangerous all throughout history. always standing in the way of tech & medical advancements. the things they burned the early asrologers at the state for are common knowledge now.
