Ah, I used to study this japanese swordsman. I have two of the same book; A Book of Five Rings.
Seems like I remember some of the story of him. One that comes to mind, is when he met a famous swordsman, Kojiro (?). Musashi crossed a river on a boat. Kojiro was waiting on the other side with his sword. Musashi met him with a bokken, wooden practice sword, and beat Kojiro, killing him. He was a very advanced swordsman. Anyway, I may not have the details exactly right. It's been awhile!

Miyamoto Musashi was a samurai of the 16th and 17th centuries. He wrote a book about sword fighting (among other things) called 'The Book of Five Rings.' He was said to have defeated nearly one hundred men in single combat....and never lost a single fight.
