I just went through this situation myself..and I chose my family over making many years worth of regrets and miserable employment..
I was netting well over 500 a week at my last place of employment, I was working for a rent to own company ( was only there for the money instead of pursuing the career of my choice ) .
I was never home..drove 45 minutes to work, opened the store at 9 am and locked the door at 9pm, never had a saturday off in 3 years, had to miss all of my childs activities, ect..it was hell..
I quit.
I took one heck of a paycut ( right now, to start ) and decided to go to work for a company that will send me to college. I go in two weeks to get my CNA and will be going next May or June to get my LPN.
I always wanted to be a nurse and went to work for a fast paycheck, never to be happy.
I regret it and my family has to suffer a bit financially and will have to deal with me working full time and going to school full time for a year..Then things will get better..
I will have acheived my goals to have a successful nursing career and will be home alot more often and be able to afford the good life ..
I know this rambles on a bit, but it is all I can focus on right now. I hurt when i think about my past mistakes but now is never to late to make myself better and better the life of my family.
I will start college around my 30th birthday. The comapny I work for will pay for it but will own me for a few years..but I can not afford it on my own and we have to do what we have to do to be the person we want to be sometimes..

Family because if you lose your job, you'll always have your family and they're always there for you no matter what. That's like saying what's more important. Money or happiness? Have you watched the movie Click? The guy only cares about his job and doesn't spend time with his family. His wife left him and and his father died and he didn't spend time with his kids. But in the end, he realizes that family is more important.

Family. They are more important than a high paying kiss a** job. Material things aren't important. Family is everything these days, because you never know when something is going to happen.

I will have to say job because this is how you're helping your family. Why would you want to spend time with your family? Here money is everything.

family, I have been there done that as they say. your children are only children once, there will always be a new job. spend time with the little ones, that is of course if you don't want society raising them for you.
