I would like to know exactly how to roof

There are many types of roofing. This is not the type of site where someone can tell you "exactly how to roof". Best advice is to get a couple of books on home improvements/roofing at your local library and read up on the subject. Next step might be to get a job with a roofing crew. You will learn in a hurry.
