My husbands ex moved 3 years ago to Mo., from Alabama, my husband never gets to see his son. Before they moved he was there every other weekend to pick him up...but he hasn't seen him in 3 years. He has to pay a large amount of child support, so can the courts reduce the child support? What are the laws on moving out of state?

You have every right to take her back to court. not just to lower the child support, but also to get visting rights. She had to allow you to see them.

I'm not sure what the legal ramifications are in your state, but no matter where the child is, he still has to be supported. The laws in moving out of state is that the person that has custody of the children must get permission from the other parent to move out of state. The children have 2 parents and the law recognizes both. So, given that she took the children, she must make every attempt to give the father the opportunity to see the children. Even if that means she brings the children to him.

Try it. The worse they can tell you is no, and you've been told that before. The laws will stay in the state the support was enforced in the first place. It doesn't matter where she moves, she will have to come back to that state to fight it.
