The book Best, Worst and Most Unusual lists a fellow who could supposedly play tunes, and earned his living doing it, on stage. He was French. Nuff said.
There was also a fellow called the Human Volcano, who could vomit at will. He would swallow fifteen walnuts and a chestnut and take bets on when he could bring the chestnut up. He also had a stage act where he would drink a quart of kerosene and a quart of water, then stand back while a toy house was lit on fire. First he would keep the fire going with the kerosene, then he would put if out with the water-- from across the stage! Makes Linda Blair seem like an amateur.
