I think it only works on whiteheads because the stuff inside the pimple can easily be drained from a whitehead. It doesnt really work that well on other types cuz the toothpaste can't easily drain the pimple.
o and by the way - toothpaste does work on zits, its called osmoisis people - the flow of fluid (zit stuff) through a semi permeable membrane (skin) from a low concentration (the zit) to a high concentration (toothpaste).

Oh ya. I use it whenever I get a big zit - all it does is dry the zit out. You can't use whitening or gel forms of toothpaste - just use the regular old cheap stuff. If you leave it on over night - you'll wake up and the zit will be dried up a bit and not as red. Don't put too much of it on your skin around the zit though or else the skin will get really really dry and crusty.

Yeah toothpaste does work on zits because it dries them out. But you have to leave it on for a long time, like overnight, in order for it to work. And the thick white toothpaste workd better than the gel stuff.

No, that's a myth. Toothpaste will not clear up zits-in fact it can worsen them. Toothpaste will dry out your skin, but it will also irritate it and make it flaky, causing acne to worsen. Stick to stuff that is made for zits.

I've tried it to with no luck Maybe there's a certain kind you need. like tarter control instead of whitening or something like that. Good Luck. Try Proactive- all the stars love it or the checks they get for endorsing it.

It never worked for me.
I have tried honey and a band-aid though. The honey is supposed to kill the bacteria, and the band-aid just keeps it clean. Worth a shot, huh?

It doesn't disappear the next day. It just kind of dries it out, little by little.

Um, if it's not working I wouldn't use it. Try like some "normal" stuff instead.
