I need to get an idea of how old i'm going to be when i start. (i'm 11)

I was 13, but my little sister was 10. It is a good idea to talk to your parents about it before hand so that you are prepared as you never know when it will come. If you start feeling irritable or cranky or sad for no apparent reason, thats a pretty good clue that its on its way lol.
Talk to your mom and come up with a special phrase or word to say when your period has come (it may be in public or you may have brothers, company etc.) Mine came in the middle of a christmas party, and I was so glad that we had a code word. I was embarassed to tell my ENTIRE family what had happened lol. Our code phrase was "Mom, I think I found that necklace you were looking for." Make it something that only the two of you will understand.

I was 12 or 13, but it depends on the girl. I have known some to start as soon as 11.
It will come when you least suspect it...I remember I started mine when I was staying with a friend at her g-pa's house, out of town, in the country. I would have been embarrassed, but she had already started hers and said it was no big deal.

It's different for everyone. It depends on how quickly your body is maturing. I started mine when I was 12, but my body matured quickly. Some people start as early as 9. Others don't start until they're 15. Sorry to disappoint you sweetie, but no one can really tell you when it will be. Your best bet would be to ask your mother and sisters (if you have any) when they started theirs. They could give you a better idea than we can.

I was 11 when I started but everybody starts at different times so dont worry. Half of my 6th grade class didnt start their period until like 7th or 8th grade. So it really depends on how fast you mature.
