Being truly loved is just about the most wonderful thing that could possibly happen to a human being. You just have to be sure that you don't go stumbling into it blindly because there are all kinds of oppotunistic A______ that will manipulate the hell out of your blind spots. True love is always mutual and reciprocal; Once it becomes a one-sided power play, all I can say is cut your losses and get as far away as you possibly can. It's not easy in the short run, but it is very, very beneficial in the long run.
