Unless you want large flat sheets - the other posters have given you some good leads - then the best way to get LARGE sheets of paper is in rolls.
One poster gave you a suggestion already.
I find that the cheapest and easiest way is to call my local newspaper and buy "end rolls" from them. The sheet is at least 4 feet tall and almost as wide as you can ask. Now, paper rolls vary according to newspapers so you may not find one that big. But you can get HUGE pieces of paper this way - and sometimes, for free.
If you are lucky enough to live in an area with paper mills or bulk paper wholesalers, sometimes you can also get "kraft paper" or "butcher's paper" by the small roll. Of course, you can also buy thse rolls. "Kraft paper" is used by places like Mailboxes Etc. to wrap big boxes. "Butcher's paper" is just that, white thick paper, sometimes lightly waxed on one side - ask your butcher locally where to buy large rolls. Bet he offers to sell you some!

Actually I am assuming you are meaning rolled paper that you would be able to cot to the size of your choosing for that and any art supplies I would check out Utrecht. com and either buy online or see if there is a store in you area and check it out. Its reasonably prived and high quality unlike the typical craft store.

Any local art store will hold it. By locally owned, it's cheaper! (Michaels is WAY to expensive, just to let you know. Plus the quality is not the greatest either. It's a total rip off).
