What is the problem with two people getting married even if they happen to be of the same gender??

(Try the answer this without using the words God, Bible, sin, religion, hell, and if you can't, then you just admitted that you are a bigoted freak who worries to much about other people.)

There isn't anything wrong with marriage between same sex couples . The Constitution guarantees all men the right to the pursuit of happiness and does not define marriage as a union between a man and a woman . That is why our illustrious President is trying to get a constitutional amendment to define marriage . Gay couples are American Citizens just like everyone else and pay the same taxes as everyone else , so they should have the same constitutional rights and freedoms as everyone else . If The moral majority in this country want to forbid gay couples their constitutional rights then they should all pay the taxes owed by those couples whose freedoms they want to hinder . If Gay men and women do not have the same rights and freedoms as everyone else then they shouldn't have to pay the same taxes as everyone else . That taxation without representation , and against the law in this country .

There is nothing wrong with it at all, the problem is that the christian world (which is a huge percentage among religions) believe that there should be one type of marriage between a male and female. But in today's standards and any for that matter if you love somone no matter what race, sex, religion you should be able to marry them, marry who you want to marry, live your life how you want and stop worrying what other's think of you course that motto will never be set in stone with closeminded people in this world. They do not understand, and do not want to learn, that is the biggest problem with this planet.

there is nothing wrong with the same-sex marriages.. Society set limits and boundaries. It says what is acceptable and not acceptable, same-sex marriages are not acceptable, but getting more recognition. I have never been opposed to gays marrying. I can't imagine loving someone so much and being denied the right to marry. To accept everyone as equal is the most humanly gift one human could give to another.

people just over reacted as usual. countries like england, canada, spain , belgium and holland have since legalize same sex marriage, yet there are no stampede of gay and lesbain people trying to get a marriage licenses.....if you look at the divorce and extra marital affairs that's going on in our society. It's the heterosexuals that make the joke out of the sanctity of marriage. So what are these people protecting again?

there is no problem with it. people who do hate it for the wrong reasons bcu of how they were raised or what the were told to believe. Love is love regardless of sex and should be acknowledged both professionally, politically, spiritually and legally. I say, it;s hard enough trying to find that special someone regardless. whether or not is it of the same gender then it should be accepted as such.

you are right about this- If God doesn't matter, then there is no right or wrong about anything at all

There is not one legitimate reason why two mentally challenged people should get married. You cannot conceive children and if you adopt one it will probably become gay.

The Rebel has a confederate flag in his picture; therefore, his opinion is void.

-Not all straight couples have babies but they can still marry.
-Gay parents won't always raise gay children since not all straight parents raise straight children.
